Building a Sensitive Generation Through Sports
The Annual Sports Day for the Prep grades was held on a sunny day in early December, with the theme of Jungle. The theme was chosen to make learners appreciate the need of animals and their role in maintaining the balance of nature.
The sports day began with a grand opening ceremony, where the students and teachers marched into the sports grounds in their colorful sports uniforms. The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Amit Patel, a well-known athlete and sports coach. The chief guest was welcomed by the principal, Mrs. Shweta Parihar, who also gave a short speech on the importance of sports and physical activity in the overall development of children.
After the opening ceremony, the various sporting events began. The students participated in a variety of track and field events such as sprints, relays, long jump, and shot put. There were also fun activities such as sack race, three-legged race, and tug-of-war, which added to the excitement of the day.
One of the highlights of the sports day was the fancy dress competition, where the students dressed up as different animals of the jungle. There were tigers, lions, zebras, and even a few dinosaurs! The students put on an amazing show, showcasing their creativity and talent.
In the afternoon, there were various team sports such as football, basketball, and cricket. The students gave their best and the games were highly competitive. In the end, Team A emerged as the overall winners, with Team B and Team C coming in second and third place respectively.
It was a day filled with fun, sports, and camaraderie. The students enjoyed participating in the various activities and made memories that will last a lifetime. The sports day was a
