UNSDG 16: Life Under Water
In conjunction with UNSDG goal 16, learners of grades 4th and 5th of GGS paid a visit to the Subhash Chandra Bose Aquarium to complement what they learnt inside the classroom.
Upon their visit, the topics and species they learnt about jumped out in vivid shapes. They were no longer mere names to be remembered, but living, breathing animals with whom we need to live in harmony. They also learnt first hand how the extinction of one species can affect the entire ecosystem.
It's said that we need only take care of the small things that are under our control. Once the small things fall into place, the big things take care of themselves. From the tiny phytoplankton to the gigantic shark, they are all connected with whose destiny ours is tied too.
