Gajera Global School
Vaccination Drive - 2nd Shot @GGS
All the learners between the ages of 14 and 18 at Gajera Global School were given the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the Government of India’s drive to vaccinate teenagers in the above age group. All the learners of grades 9th through 12th got the shot for free, shielding them against the deadly virus.
With cooperation from parents and children alike, we were able to inoculate almost all eligible learners in the age group. With this second dose, it is hoped that all the learners will now be able to attend regular classes at school. SMC officials visited school at around 10 in the morning today after which learners took the shot in batches. To detect adverse reactions, they were kept under observation for half an hour. As none of the learners showed any sign of distress or discomfort, they resumed classes afterwards. After today’s successful drive, we hope that both children and parents will be confident of fighting against the resurgence of the novel virus.
