Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self

A momentous occasion of International Yoga Day 2023 was celebrated at GGS on June19, 20 & 21. This year marks the 9th celebration of the global event. The theme ‘Yoga For Vasudheva Kutumbakam’ emphasizes the profound benefits of yoga for all.

GGS has marked the mega event, International Yoga Day -2023, with three days celebrations. The celebrations began with Samuhik Surya-namashkar on June 19, to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising yoga. Primary students visited an old age home and performed Yoga with them on June 20 to create a soothing and enriching environment around.



The enthusiastic learners and educators of GGS participated in The Yoga Day event organized in Surat that set a new Guinness World Record, as the largest group of the people gathered at Dumas Road for a yoga session.






A special Yoga Session for the parents and educators was also arranged at GGS campus. We learnt about the benefits of yoga for our physical and mental health, and how it can help us stay calm and focused. Parents, learners and educators came together to practice yoga and meditation. An Oath was taken by the educators and learners to practice Yoga on daily basis.


Yoga Day 2023 had encouraged individuals to embrace yoga as a holistic practice and promotes its positive impact on individual and collective health and happiness.
